People think Larry David is a jerk. I think he's just displaying brutal honesty, even if it comes across as offensive/insensitive at times. People don't like to hear the truth most of the time.
Just an observation. Nothing more...nothing less.

yeah. didn't think so. i mean, it's obviously not as simple as the number of words in each sentence. i'm never going to solve the puzzle.

there's being brutally honest and an ass. then, there's total honesty and tact.
Larry David tends to lack the latter. and that is painful to watch.
larry david reminds me of my grandpa, who was a surly old bald jew (he wore a horrible toupee, though, and i used to watch him glue it on in the morning). he hated smoking so much that he was known to snatch a cigarette out of someone's hand and grind it out. i love larry david. he's the archetypical schlemiel.
