Now that's what I call art!!

I can't draw or paint, but I've been wanting to put up some cool art in Ira's room for a while now. I stumbled upon this pretty rad website called thumbtackpress.com that let's artists upload their works and sells high quality prints for a reasonable price.

I picked these guys up via the website (and bought the frames and matting separately from a local store). The prints arrived in the post super fast!

Bourdain

Here's a funny blog posting by none other than Mr. Anthony Bourdain. He's goin' off on Food Network...again. I like the guy and all, but I thought the following comment that someone made on another forum was pretty funny:

Bourdain for me falls into the same category as, say, Chomsky -- I like what he says, but often the way he says it makes me wince. At least when Chomsky goes rhetorically medieval, he's talking about human rights and dignity. As opposed to, you know, cake.

Swords Award and The Pizzas

I had to edit this post from the original version, which was posted early in the morning while buzzing on coffee. See. I told you I shouldn't touch that stuff!

I went to the show at the blue lamp this past Friday. Both of the two bands I saw were great. The Pizza's were definitely a pleasant surprise. Swords Award were really good too. I left before Sex Rat played.

I missed out on the Sic Alps show of Saturday. I was definitely too tired. Oh well.

Currently digging the new Deerhunter album.
