1. go see knock knock tonight and that other band who's playing
last. (@ espresso metro)

2. and yeah. go see the feeling and gusto (and some touring band) on sat
(@ 1020 J street?) and then come to the town house for kareoke.

3. copy protected cds suck. trying to listen to the new ben harper on
my computer doesn't work. that's bullshit.

4. 50 cent's previous 3 albums are way better than that new joint they
overplay on the radio.

it's lame that i can't even view my own blog here at work. anyhow.

this weekend was my birthday. it was nice and low key. once you start getting up there in age you begin to lose track of time and four or more years can seem like hardly any time at all. still, that's no reason to act like an old man. age is a frame of mind.

still going to shows

still spending half my income on records

still rockin' out on my guitar

still partying like it's 1999

too bad i still don't have any sense of fashion.

what are you doing?

right now i'd rather be doing what this guy is doing than doing what i'm doing now...

yeah...i'll sign your book

so this weekend william gibson was having a book signing in the bay area. i drove all the way down there myself, and when i got less than a block away to this little hole-in-the-wall book store, i noticed there weren't any other people around. i got paranoid like i would be the only one who showed up and it would be all awkward. luckily all the geeks showed up early and were already inside and seated for gibson to read a chapter from his book and a q&a.

he seemed like a cool fellow. great sense of humor and very sincere. i brought my advanced copy of "pattern recognition" to be signed by him, and when i took it to him to get his autograph he had this look on his face like "thanks for not buying my book. you'll probably sell this on ebay". but he did sign it, and i WILL buy the book when it comes out on paperback.

ok bill?

#include beer.h
or
import com.hp.clx.beer.*;

so i should be greatful that my boss encouraged me to drink alcohol while at work twice this week, but beer and programming don't mix (at the same time).

my boss's boss's boss's boss said she could spend 25 dollars per person at the afternoon banquet today. i was just trying to get her moneys worth (and keep up with our guests from germany visiting this week).

ps. any geeks out there reading this. how do you print the "greater" or "less than" characters in HTML?
